Counting Blessings Fun

Happy Saturday all!  My “Stamp of Approval” box, “Counting Blessings” arrived filled with all kinds of crafty goodness this past week.

I got to sit down and just create and get inky this week so I thought I’d share the three cards I created with you today.

This first card is my favorite card of all three.  I chose to make an almost monochromatic card using only “It’s a Boy” and “Fiesta BlueCatherine Pooler Inks.  I did use a little of the “Black Jack” ink to stamp my image and create my striped grey back ground.  I had a blast masking and layering all the fun stamps from this collection.

For my second card I knew I wanted to use some of amazing leaf stamps in the box. I stamped my leaves using “Tiara”, “Tiki Torch”, “Tuti Frutti” and also “Black Jack” inks. I used a variety of ink combos and layered up each leaf and then fussy cut them out.  I attached them using a fun line of white stitching.

For my final card, I knew I wanted to play with the tag die in the kit.  I had a blast using the tiny, elongated triangle stamp and the “Fiesta Blue”, “Sweet Sixteen” and “Melon Ice” (my favorite colour!) inks to create my little pattern on the tag topper. And took images from almost of all of the new stamp sets and created this fun layered beauty.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you’re having a wonderful and creative weekend!

And here is card #4 today for the My Favorite Things Camp Create 2017 event.  For this card, we had to create a card using die cuts.

I chose to stamp all my little fishies so they would peek out from behind all the polka dots!  I used my Copic air brush system to add some little blue colour and then took my Blender Pen and made it look like there were a few bubbles.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope my cards today have inspired you to create!  Have a great night all!

Happy Birthday Hippos!

Hey back again with card #3 today for the My Favorite Things Camp Create 2017 event.  For this card, we had to create a card using a masking technique.

I chose to feature the cute little hippos from the new "Happy Hippos" stamp collection.  I masked them all to make a little birthday hippo scene.

I had to add some party confetti too!

Hope you're having a great weekend!  I'm hoping to finish up the last remaining 2 challenges plus the bonus challenge too.  Off to create!

Here's a little close up of my card front... I had to add a bit of shimmer...

My Favorite Things Fun!

Hey everyone!  Happy Sunday!  This weekend I've been playing along with the My Favorite Things Camp Create 2017 event.  This event is five days of fun techniques and challenges for their product lovers.

I chose to create cards out of order and by whatever struck as inspiration first.  So my first card if for the Monochromatic card challenge.  I chose to use the colour orange.

For my card I used the sweet little kitties from the "Smitten Kitten" stamp set.

Here's a close up of my no-line coloured kitty...

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll be sharing my other cards soon!
