Power Poppy: Lovin' Some Tulips!

Happy Friday everyone!  I’m here with another fun but fairly simple card to share using some fun Power Poppy products today.

I chose to use the fun Loving Tulips stamp set today and it’s coordinating die set.

I chose to use our Power & Spark Challenge for the month of May, to frame up your card, as inspiration.  So I created this whimsical circular platform to frame up my card.

To find out more about this month’s challenge and how YOU can win a $50 shopping spree, click here. I can’t wait to see what you create!

Now check out what my fellow Bloomies have created for you to check out today showcasing our fabulous stamp sets…

Thanks again for joining me today!  I hope all of my friends in the USA have a great long weekend.

On Friday I was playing around with all my new inks from Catherine Pooler Designs. Catherine’s inks are so easy to use and the new colors fit perfectly within the original palette of 13 ink colors.

Today I’m playing with a few stamps from the Stamp of Approval collections, “The Perfect Reason” and the “Candy Cane Lane”.

I used the “Perfect Reason”, “Paisley Peacock”, “You Did It!” and the “Peppermint Stick BG” stamp sets.  I also used the following Catherine Pooler Inks: Melon Ice, Garden Party, Lime Rickey, It’s a Boy, It’s a Girl, Sweet Sixteen, Pixie Dust, Flirty Fuchsia, Party Dress.

I'm entering the card in the hopes of winning a new Stamp of Approval box.  My entry is #52.  You can VOTE HERE.  Just click the heart in the corner of your top 3 picks!

TGIF Tulips!

Good day all!  It’s Friday and time to start a long weekend here in Canada!  I know I’m certainly looking forward to having a lazy 4 days to myself as my guys are off to San Francisco today.

So to begin the weekend, let pick some Tulips… some Power Poppy tulips from the “Dynamic Duos: Peonies & Tulips” clear stamp set!

For my card I actually used my Ranger Distress Oxides to create my back ground and also colour up my gold embossed tulip image too!  They work like a dream to paint up images!

Here’s a little close up of the sparkle of the gold embossing plus the cool effect of the painted tulips.

I hope you’ll take a few minutes and check out my fellow Bloomies have created to share with you!  PLUS… Marcella has a special surprise SALE going on.    You can check out all those details on the Power Poppy Blog!

I wanted to complete the inside of my card too...

Power Poppy: Succulent Fields

Happy Friday one and all!  I’m off on a Scout camp weekend so I’m packing up my gear and getting ready for hopefully lots of sunshine and fresh air.  But before I go, I’m sharing a fun card using Power Poppy’s amazing products!

Today I made a card with a lot of masking!  If you haven’t already checked out my easy masking tutorial over on the Power Poppy Blog, make sure you do.  You can find right HERE.

I used one of newest clear stamp sets called “Succulent Singles” to create today’s card.  I stamped and masked off all the different succulents to create the cascade of plants.  Then I left all the masks on the plants and blended my Ranger Distress Inks all across the back ground.

Check out this card a little closer…

I’m playing along with a few fun challenges today.  First off all, I used this week’s sketch from Fresh Made Sketches, #287;
Plus I used the colour scheme and photo inspiration from the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge, #406;

Now check out what my fellow Bloomies have created for you to check out today…

Power Poppy: Frame It Up!

Howdy all!  Happy Friday everyone!  Today the Power Poppy Bloom Brigaders are having fun with our brand new Power & Spark Challenge for May.

This month’s challenge is super easy and FUN! For your card entry, you must create a card with some kind of frame on it.  Simple right?!?
AND GET THIS!!!  Marcella has upped the ante!  She’s giving away a $50 shopping spree to this month’s winner!  WOOHOO!  So make sure you come and play along!  Power Poppy images are not required but we always love to see them!

Now for my framed up creation…

I’ve been thinking about making this card all week long for this challenge.  I decided to pick a non-traditional frame for my card front and drop some fun little blooms from our Natural Beauties stamp set inside along with a sweet greeting from our Loving Tulips stamp set.  I gave my self a break from fussy cutting today and die cut my blooms using their coordinating dies, the Natural Beauties Dies. (So handy to have!!!)

Now, check on out all my fellow Bloomies and their amazing creations this week…

Allison Copeyou are here!

PLUS… the Instant Gardeners (Digi Team) will up on the Power Poppy Blog today too with a fun new digital stamp to share!!  Make sure you check that out!!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoy all the fun projects today!
