Come WIN just for Taking Photos!

Join the WeScrap iTeam all month long in July for a daily photography challenge.

Here's how to play along...
1. Each day a new prompt will be posted for you to see in the contest forum. This could be another inspiring photo by that day's iTeam member, a quote, a poem or just a simple question asked by one of our iTeam. You must then take a photo of something that the prompt has inspired you to take. The prompt is just a starting point for you to take photos so how you interpret the prompt is all yours.
2. You will have 48 hours to post your photo in the Fabulous Photos Contest gallery and then link your photo's thumbnail to the corresponding prompt for the day. You must also include with your photo, how that specific prompt inspired you to take the photo you did.

RULES:
1. All of your photos must be NEW! You cannot use previously taken photos. Remember.... the prompt can inspire you to take a photo of ANYTHING... even something inside your house!! NO OLD PHOTOS UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED!
2. All photos must be your own and must have been take by you or someone in your household.

PRIZES:
One randomly selected winner will win a gift certificate to spend in the WeScrap store.
One photograph will be chosen by the iTeam members as being the most inspirational and will also receive a gift certificate to spend in the WeScrap store.
Random RAKS may also be given out to participants by individual iTeam members throughout the month.

The contest will run everyday until the last day of July. Contest winners will be announced in early August.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! We can't wait to see what you capture!

Read All About It!!

It's Thursday so it's time for another creative prompt at Creative Prompts 4U!

This week we have guest designer Camila Borssoi with us this week and she has challenged us to incorporate reading as part of this week's challenge.

Her challenge reads:

In this challenge you have to make a project inspired in the story or message of a book. Please, if it's possible, include a picture of your chosen book in your blog post. It can be your favorite book, the booking you are reading, a favorite book of your children or something else.

So the book I chose is a rather different choice... a self help book called "Finding Joy".

In Finding Joy, leading psychologist Charlotte Davis Kasl shares 101 simple yet profound ways for readers to focus on the positive and bring happiness to their daily lives.

So my layout is all about my finding personal joy in life...

Don't Worry... Be Happy!

It's Saturday? Sort of!

I know... it's not Saturday but that's okay! Everyday is a good day to reveal a sketch!

This past Saturday, the lovely Victoria posted a wonderful 2 photo sketch for everyone to take inspiration from. I got the fabulous job of creating a page for her to show off her great sketch.

See the sketch HERE!

Here's my version of Victoria's awesome sketch...

School Photos

I used a wide variety of myStamp BOX stamps on my page too!

I used my Snapshot stamp set to add a few camera related details like the row of elements under my title and popping out of the top of my largest photo.

I also used a few elements from the Review stamp set too! I loved the row of numbers and the stars from the set! I used them both throughout my page.

And last but not least, I used one of my favourite mSB stamps sets, Mini Alpha for labeling the tab on my page.

Come and create a page using Victoria's sketch today!

Stay tuned tomorrow for more myStamp BOX inspiration!

The challenge for this Blog Hop was to take anything that makes you think of Summer and create a project that fits the theme.

You participate in the blog hop by leaving a comment on each and every participating myStamp BOX designer's blog and all of our partner companies' blogs as well. You have a chance to win a set of stamps sets! Our partner companies will offer up a prize as well. So leave a comment on all the blog posts and then return to the mSB blog and tell us what you favourite project was along the way for a chance to win! Have fun!

For me, summer is all about outdoor fun! One of our family fun stops during the warm months is to visit the beach. So I was browsing the aisles of our local bargain shop and came across a bag of fun beach related toys. PERFECT!! Since toys seem to migrate while on the beach, I thought I would personalize my son's beach stuff...

First I stamped all kinds of boy related icons all down the side of his fun plastic wheel barrow. I used StazOn black ink and allowed it a few minutes to dry between stamping the next image.

Stamp sets I used for the wheel barrow: "house", No Place Like Home; "ice cream cone, computer/TV, cell phone, Symbols; "Crazy Stuff", Bold Blocks; "seal", Seal It!; "man image, male gender symbol", She Says - He Says; "circles", Funky Circles; "robots, nuts, bolts, gears", Programmed Robots; "cloud, sun", Wishing You Sunshine; "airplane, car, words", Passport to Adventure; "alphabets", Rough Copy Alphabet.

I made sure to personalized it for him with his name right on the front...

... and also I on the inside. I coloured his name in using my Copic markers.

Included in the summer kit was a little pail with a red rake and a green shovel. I personalized his pail with the Funky Circles stamp set and I also added his initial "S" to the big circles using the Rough Copy Alphabet set. Since he's almost 5 now, I thought I would stamp on the tools what they were in actual words. For this, I used the Mini Alpha - Small Box set.

The whole entire set came in a handy back pack so I personalized it too!!! I used the newest mSB stamp set, the Royal Flush alphabet stamp set.

Everything comes apart easily and slides right into the backpack. Here's my little beach boy sporting his new beach gear...

I hope my project has inspired you today!!!

Please hop along to the back to the myStampBOX Blog. Please make sure you leave a comment on the Blog Hop post and tell us what your favourite project was along the way to finish off your Jump into Summer inspirational Blog Hop today and a chance to win a PRIZE!

We hope that you've had lots of fun hopping along with us!!

Dads and Snowy Scapes

Last month I was lucky enough to win the entire new May release of Flourishes stamps! I was one THRILLED stamper let me tell ya. I won the "A Guiding Light", "Antique Map", "Beauty Within" and "Cherry Blossoms" sets.

Ranger, Memento, Copic, Versamark;

Warm Wishes

*myStamp BOX "snowflakes used from "Let it Snow!".

It's Garden Glory!!!

It's also that time of the month over at WeScrap... it's kit reveal time!

Here's a peak at this month's beautiful kit... Garden Glory. This is an AMAZING kit!

Here are the four layouts I created with this gorgeous kit....

Follower

A close up some details... including part of the page where I applied the large Pink Paislee rub-on and then stitched some of the tissue that backs the rub-on image over top...

4ever Friend

I used some Shimmerz paint from my stash to add a bit of distressing to my page and my Artisan pieces...

Card

I used my Shimmerz paint again along with the pretty pearls included in the kit...

Here Comes the Bride

I used one of my new Flourishes stamps sets to create the white embossed lace look down the edge of my orange cardstock.

Take a moment and check out the rest of the team's reveal for this beautiful kit... here!

Let's Party!.... Sketch Style!

Welcome to the Let’s Capture These Sketch Blog 1st Birthday Bash!

We are extremely happy to be celebrating our very first birthday with our amazingly talented Sketch Team. We are going to be celebrating with each Sketch Team member each day from June 1st until June 9th.

If you are just joining us, check out the Let’s Capture These Sketches blog for all the details and the links to the sketches.

As part of our challenge to you over the next 9 days, we are going to have you build the most delicious birthday cake ever! Each sketch artist will have a sketch for you to design with. Each time you finish a sketch creation, load it into the Let’s Capture Our Memories (LCOM) gallery with “Birthday Bash Sketch #?” as the title using the corresponding sketch number. Collect the corresponding Birthday Bash Decal after your completing your layout using the sketch and build up your 9 pieces of your Birthday Bash cake. You can display your decals on your blog, in the forum or anywhere you’d like to show them off!

Today you will be earning this piece of the Birthday Cake…

Here is my sketch to inspire you today…

Along with your sketch, you must include the following challenge:

Use some kind of stitching on your page
(hand stitching, rub-ons, doodled, machine stitching, etc.).

Here is an example of today’s sketch by the talented Guylaine

2 Roues

To earn an extra ballot into the final prize draw, each designer has chosen a secret ingredient that if used on your layout (Example, brads, paint, a piece of packaging, mist, etc.) will earn you an extra ballot towards the final prize. You just never know what that person’s secret layout ingredient could be so be creative!

You will have until Friday June 18th to complete one, two… all of the Birthday Bash sketches and add them to the LCOM Gallery. One lucky random winner to collect all 9 pieces of the birthday cake will win a fabulous gift certificate to the LCOM store! A second randomly selected participant will receive a gift certificate to the myStampBOX store!

Good luck! We can’t wait to see what you do with all of our sketch inspirations!
